fable & may – Success Story

fable & may are all about straightforward products that do what they say they’re going to. But they're also about products that bring a little joy, and they believe if you’re going to look after your skin, you might as well smile while you do it!

Behind the brand, we are a couple of old friends, starting up a skincare adventure while juggling working mama life. fable & may is the magic that happens outside work, kids, dog walking and everything else!

What needs or challenges did you face that led you to look to Shieling for a solution?

We knew what we wanted to create in our brand, but we needed the technical expertise to back up our intentions.

We wanted to work with a partner that had a fantastic track record in creating both beautiful and scientifically advanced products that we would be proud to call our own.

Can you describe your selection process, and what was important to you when choosing a partner for contract manufacturing?

As newcomers to the skincare market, we wanted to work with a partner that could 'show us the ropes', while accommodating our (many) requests to create a unique product. 

We also relied on Shieling's sound knowledge of the industry, advice on everything from branding, packaging, marketing to the products themselves. 

It was important to us to form a real partnership, where we felt as comfortable explaining our objectives as we did asking questions and seeking advice and guidance.

What made you choose our company over the competition?

Our decision, in the end, was easy. Sheiling outlined the processes clearly, answered every question we had and is just an absolute delight to work with. 

Backed up by the formulation wizards, nothing was too much trouble, no query was left unresolved. 

We also felt valued, even though our initial orders are comparatively small, we felt that Shieling is as behind our dream and as committed to our success as we are.

How were the process and the result?

We have been on a very steep learning curve as we have embarked on our journey as fable & may, with many bumps along the road, but one of the most streamlined and quite frankly, a pleasurable part has been working with Shieling. 

We knew what to expect and when, and Shieling went above and beyond for us, even working to smooth a few of those road bumps for us.
